Remove the tips and cut the plantain in 4 pieces.

Boil the plantains for 10-15 minutes or until soft.

Remove the peel and mash into a mixing bowl. Add the oat flour and mix.

Add the mozzarella cheese and form the arepas.

Fry on each side for 5 minutes or until golden brown.

Tips

You can replace the oat flour with pre-cooked corn meal with the same ratio. This will make it a little more firmer.
