- 1 cup uncooked brown rice
- 1 cup chicken broth
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Cooking:
Add the rinsed rice, chicken broth, and salt to the Instant Pot. Mix well. Optional: Add any additional spices or seasonings of your choice. 1 cup chicken broth, ¼ teaspoon salt
Ensure the sealing ring is in place, then close the lid and set the valve to the sealing position.
Press the “Manual” button and set the timer to 20 minutes. It will take about X minutes to reach pressure.
Once the cooking time ends, the Instant Pot will display "L0:05" for a 5-minute natural pressure release. After 5 minutes, quickly release any remaining pressure. Press the “Cancel” button.
Open the pot, fluff the rice with a fork, and serve immediately.
Optional Flavor Boost: Mix in a rinsed can of beans for added flavor.
Storage Tip: Let the rice cool for no more than 1 hour. Transfer it to a freezer bag or Souper Cube for storage. Freeze for up to 3 months. When ready to use, thaw it in the fridge overnight and reheat as usual.
