Ingredients

  • 1 cup uncooked brown rice
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

Prep:

  • Rinse the brown rice under cold water using a fine-mesh strainer until the water runs clear.

Cooking:

  • Add the rinsed rice, chicken broth, and salt to the Instant Pot. Mix well.
    Optional: Add any additional spices or seasonings of your choice.

  • Ensure the sealing ring is in place, then close the lid and set the valve to the sealing position.
  • Press the “Manual” button and set the timer to 20 minutes. It will take about X minutes to reach pressure.
  • Once the cooking time ends, the Instant Pot will display "L0:05" for a 5-minute natural pressure release. After 5 minutes, quickly release any remaining pressure. Press the “Cancel” button.
  • Open the pot, fluff the rice with a fork, and serve immediately.

Notes

Optional Flavor Boost: Mix in a rinsed can of beans for added flavor.
Storage Tip: Let the rice cool for no more than 1 hour. Transfer it to a freezer bag or Souper Cube for storage. Freeze for up to 3 months. When ready to use, thaw it in the fridge overnight and reheat as usual.
